I have the best job in the world. I have the unbelievable privilege of being welcomed into your moments and memories in order to create a record of them for you to cherish and reflect on for a lifetime. My goal is to create photographs that radiate with the love and emotion you share and that represent the real you.
In this blog I will share stories and photographs of the incredible people I get to work with and you may find a personal story from my life tucked in as well. I hope that you come back and visit often. If you like what you see, be sure to leave a comment. I love connecting with all of you!
Best, Rachel
I know that Jill and Ted’s life together will be filled with tons of laughter and lots of love!
I had the great priviledge of photographing Jill and Ted’s beautiful wedding at the Fort Collins Coutry Club, which provided the perfect backdrop for their Colorado wedding.
Jill and Ted (and their entire families) have the greatest sense of humor..they had me laughing all day. It was a wonderful gathering family members and friends and the entire day was a true celebration of Jill & Ted’s love for one another.

Remember the sense of humor I mentioned? See below.

Thank you for allowing me to be a witness to your wonderful day. It was a true pleasure!
A big thanks to my assistant Tricia. Also to Sunie & Lia at the Fort Collins Country Club who made the day run seamlessly. And to Matt at Amore DJ Entertainment for the great tunes.
Also, if you are looking for a great hanger for your wedding dress (or a fabulous gift for a bride to be or for your bridesmaids) Click here for Lila Frances beautiful work on Etsy.
Thank you again for allowing me to be part of your beautiful day. I wish you many laughs and lots of love throughout life! Best, Rachel
There will soon be a new addition to this gorgeous family and I can’t wait to meet her!
I had a wonderful evening in Boulder with Sadler and Gina who are amazingly beautiful both inside and out. We found the perfect little niche next to the foothills for their maternity portrait session.
Thank you for joining me for a beautiful evening. And for laughing at me as I jumped through the grasses and almost stepped on a snake! I can’t wait to meet your sweet little girl-soon! Best, Rachel
Life leads you in circles…many speak of the 6 degrees of separation- and if you know me well it seems to be about 3 degrees of separation most of the time- which is fabulous!
I love how life is so interconnected.
2 years ago I walked into a birthday party for a then 2 year old… I looked up and said- John what are you doing here? He asked the same question of me. It is indeed a very small world!
I have know John since I was about 5 years old. He was my next door neighbor when I lived in Fort Collins as a kiddo and his sister was my best bud with whom I ran around the cul de sac, played soccer and took ballet classes…
I reconnected with John when I ran into him (and his sis) at CU where I attended college and then again at this 2 yr old’s birthday party years later.
The circles of life are amazing and wonderful.
So glad that they brought me around to you and your family again!

Thank you for spending the evening with me. It is so wonderful to be reconnected with you and your family! Best, Rachel
Check out these big blues!
I had a blast with this adorable family in City Park on a hot afternoon for our portrait session. Thank you for sharing the afternoon with me and for acting like fools-jumping, singing, squeaking… to get little “C” to show his bright smile to the camera. (Oh the things we do- anyone watching us had a real show!)

Enjoy all of the marvelous moments with your sweet boy! Best, Rachel
I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing these darling families recently. When the best friends from college (Julie & Marjorie) reunite now they bring their families too-what fun!

And I had to include this shot- I love it! It was a bit of a misfire…but happy accidents are always welcome- you never know what you’ll get!

Thanks for spending a lovely morning with me. I hope that you had tons of fun during your visit. Best, Rachel
I had the great pleasure of photographing this awesome family up in Vail.
Do you remember this little guy from last year?

Check out how much he has grown!

Thank you so much for being the easiest (and fastest) people to work with…you guys are a blast! Enjoy every minute with your little man!
Best, Rachel
I had the great opportunity to photograph Kelly & Peter’s Wedding. It was at the fabulous Ryssby Church which provided the perfect backdrop for their beautiful Boulder Wedding.
Their day started off at the Omni Hotel where Peter and Kelly got ready.

They decided to see each other before the ceremony, so we set up the “first look” inside the Ryssby church.

We were able to find a great field for some fun wedding party shots before the wedding ceremony started.

I love how Kelly was radiating with happiness right before she walked into the church.

Kelly and Peter had a wonderful wedding ceremony which included the Filipino wedding traditions of the coins, veil, cords & unity candle, because Kelly grew up in the Philippines. And their best man was quite the ham when it came time to get the rings out of his pocket!

We had some fun around Boulder on the way to their dinner reception at the Cork.

Kelly and Peter had a lovely intimate dinner with friends and family to celebrate their union.

Thank you for allowing me to be a witness to your beautiful day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness! Best, Rachel
And a huge thank you to my good friend and awesome second shooter Ali of Alison Rose Photography!!
With some families you instantly sense their awesome magnetism…
I had the best afternoon running around in the Colorado State University Oval and in Old Town Fort Collins with this darling family. And what could be better than ending the session with the best icecream in town at the Walrus?
Thank you for being so much fun to work with. I had a blast!
Love blossomed on the CU campus (my alma mater too! GO BUFFS!!!) a few years back, and now Whitney and Alex will be married this summer! Since Whitney & Alex met in the dorms at CU…where else could be better than the CU campus for an engagement session?
I am so excited for their wedding in Breckenridge at Sevens in early September.
These two are darling, and soooo much fun to be around. I came home from the shoot saying…I love my job!
There is nothing better than meeting with two people in love, who love life and are so easy to be around. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening. I absolutely can’t wait for your wedding!!
