There will soon be a new addition to this gorgeous family and I can’t wait to meet her!

I had a wonderful evening in Boulder with Sadler and Gina who are amazingly beautiful both inside and out. We found the perfect little niche next to the foothills for their maternity portrait session.

Thank you for joining me for a beautiful evening. And for laughing at me as I jumped through the grasses and almost stepped on a snake! I can’t wait to meet your sweet little girl-soon! Best, Rachel

Some stories just make you realize the power of the human spirit (and dog spirit!)

These three certainly have had their share of curve balls thrown at them in recent years, and I am so honored that they invited me to share in their celebration of everything they have overcome!

Jen has worked hard at getting into shape. She works out with the fabulous Fast Forward Sports in Boulder and through all of her hard work and dedication she has lost the equivalent amount of weight of a sixth grader!! And in her words…”who is now a freshman and I am trying to keep up.” You go girl. And personally, she is a huge inspiration to me because she has decided to tackle the challenge of an Ironman next year…some day I’ll get the guts to do one!

Chris has the incredible title of cancer survivor! He was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, faced it with strength and beat it…amazing!!

And last but not least Ruby, their dog, was paralyzed last year. She slipped discs in her back and had to undergo surgery. You would never know that she was once paralyzed if you saw her during our shoot! Case in point…

Thank you again you guys…you are a real inspiration!

Little Raven was ready to enter this world- 5 weeks early- to her mother’s surprise!!! But she is a healthy beautiful little angel. Thank you for inviting me in during the first days of Raven’s life to capture your sweet newborn baby girl. What a doll!

Again…I must have the opposite effect of sleepy fairy dust- because Raven had no intention of sleeping at all during the two hours I was there to visit.

I had the great privilege of sharing the afternoon with Jackie and I can’t wait to share another afternoon with Jackie and Jim and their new little girl in about a month!!!! Jackie- you are radiating with joy and happiness. I am still, even after having one of my own, in awe of the human body and its abillity to create these wonderful miracles!!

P.S. Jackie happens the be the youngest of thirteen children- yes 13!!! Jackie-is this the beginning of another 13???
