Soon there will be a third link on the right hand side of the splash page to a “mirrored” website that will be visible on iphones, ipads and mobile devices! Be sure to check that out when you are on the go.

When I am not behind the camera for you, I am usually behind the camera for me!
I can’t seem to put it down, and for that reason our daughter is going to grow up either loathing the camera or ignoring it since she is so use to it.
This is a snippet from the beginning of our week. My mom, my daughter and I get to spend Mondays together. I always look forward to it. I feel so fortunate to have that time with both of the leading ladies in my life.
This week we wrapped up out last “farm class” with pony rides and a story in the hay loft.

Then we had a great afternoon letting lady bugs go in our yard.

I hope that your week is off to a great start and that you are able to spend some time with the people who mean the most to you.
I am catching up after a brief hiatus to California. It was a wonderful respite. I actually sat and read a book- something I love to do, but never get the time to enjoy! Here is a snippet of our vacation seen through my iPhone. I tried to leave the camera behind most of the trip and enjoy life through my eyes and not a camera lens. It was a fun challenge.

Minnesota, Vail, New York City, New Haven & Philadelphia! It has been a whirlwind through the holidays and the beginning of January….but it has been terrific!
Here are two images from our trip out East. The first one was shot with my handy iPhone out of the window of the train as we passed by New York City. I love the quality of the light. Magical.

The second image encapsulates our adventure- a fabulous whirlwind with tons of fun!

I hope that 2010 has started off wonderfully for each of you.
I am thrilled about what 2010 has in store! The wedding season is booking up quickly, so be sure to call soon if you are interested in a summer date. As for portraits I am booking into April. If you are interested in a newborn session please call and we will try to squeeze you in early to capture the “newness” of your little one. Portrait sessions will be limited this year due to the fun wedding season we have planned! Get on the schedule now to ensure your spot.
I am so excited to be working with all of the brides, grooms and families that I have scheduled this year. What a beautiful group both inside and out. I am honored to be welcomed into your special moments.
I wish you all the best in this year ahead, I can’t wait to see what it brings!
Not only has it been an incredible year for photographing other people’s families…it has been an incredible year with our family as well. It’s amazing to see the changes from last year to this year. We have so much to be thankful for.

If you see us around town- she might still be in her monkey suit. I can’t seem to get her out of it!
Oh how fun this age is!!

One more shot from Telluride. This was taken on our way out of town after the wedding. We lucked out with incredible weather for the outdoor wedding…but you can tell that winter is ready to get started!

Bring on ski season!!
Does it get any better than this?
I am out in Telluride for a wedding tomorrow-I’m so excited! Steve and I escaped a couple days early to take in some fall colors. today we went four wheel driving over Ophir Pass- my heart was racing! But we saw some amazing vistas. Isn’t Colorado spectacular?
Here is just a handful of some of my favorites!

I love spending time photographing other people’s families so that they have images to look back on and cherish…so I finally focused on my family so that I can have images to look back on and cherish (that have me in them and not behind the camera!)
The wonderful and talented Julie Afflerbaugh recently photographed us in Boulder. Thank you Julie for the great images, I am so happy to have these to remember this time in our lives!!!

If you want to see the slideshow from our shoot click here. And navigate on over to the about section under Rachel and see a little collage of my favorites. Thanks again Julie!!!
We have had a wonderful week in Minnesota. The weather has been much cooler than expected, but I love it!
We spent the first portion in the Twin Cities playing in the lakes and visiting family and having fun riding bikes and scooters.

Then Steve and I were able to escape (without the toddler!) for a few days on the North Shore of Lake Superior. It was gorgeous!

Then we headed to the lake cabin. The dogs LOVE it (and so do we!).

Our little one LOVED the boat!

And she even had a blast in the cool weather roasting hot dogs and s’mores over the fire.
