There will soon be a new addition to this gorgeous family and I can’t wait to meet her!
I had a wonderful evening in Boulder with Sadler and Gina who are amazingly beautiful both inside and out. We found the perfect little niche next to the foothills for their maternity portrait session.
Thank you for joining me for a beautiful evening. And for laughing at me as I jumped through the grasses and almost stepped on a snake! I can’t wait to meet your sweet little girl-soon! Best, Rachel
Life leads you in circles…many speak of the 6 degrees of separation- and if you know me well it seems to be about 3 degrees of separation most of the time- which is fabulous!
I love how life is so interconnected.
2 years ago I walked into a birthday party for a then 2 year old… I looked up and said- John what are you doing here? He asked the same question of me. It is indeed a very small world!
I have know John since I was about 5 years old. He was my next door neighbor when I lived in Fort Collins as a kiddo and his sister was my best bud with whom I ran around the cul de sac, played soccer and took ballet classes…
I reconnected with John when I ran into him (and his sis) at CU where I attended college and then again at this 2 yr old’s birthday party years later.
The circles of life are amazing and wonderful.
So glad that they brought me around to you and your family again!

Thank you for spending the evening with me. It is so wonderful to be reconnected with you and your family! Best, Rachel
Check out these big blues!
I had a blast with this adorable family in City Park on a hot afternoon for our portrait session. Thank you for sharing the afternoon with me and for acting like fools-jumping, singing, squeaking… to get little “C” to show his bright smile to the camera. (Oh the things we do- anyone watching us had a real show!)

Enjoy all of the marvelous moments with your sweet boy! Best, Rachel
I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing these darling families recently. When the best friends from college (Julie & Marjorie) reunite now they bring their families too-what fun!

And I had to include this shot- I love it! It was a bit of a misfire…but happy accidents are always welcome- you never know what you’ll get!

Thanks for spending a lovely morning with me. I hope that you had tons of fun during your visit. Best, Rachel
I had the great pleasure of photographing this awesome family up in Vail.
Do you remember this little guy from last year?

Check out how much he has grown!

Thank you so much for being the easiest (and fastest) people to work with…you guys are a blast! Enjoy every minute with your little man!
Best, Rachel
With some families you instantly sense their awesome magnetism…
I had the best afternoon running around in the Colorado State University Oval and in Old Town Fort Collins with this darling family. And what could be better than ending the session with the best icecream in town at the Walrus?
Thank you for being so much fun to work with. I had a blast!
Love blossomed on the CU campus (my alma mater too! GO BUFFS!!!) a few years back, and now Whitney and Alex will be married this summer! Since Whitney & Alex met in the dorms at CU…where else could be better than the CU campus for an engagement session?
I am so excited for their wedding in Breckenridge at Sevens in early September.
These two are darling, and soooo much fun to be around. I came home from the shoot saying…I love my job!
There is nothing better than meeting with two people in love, who love life and are so easy to be around. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening. I absolutely can’t wait for your wedding!!

I have been working on a new website and it has finally gone live! Check it out and let me know what you think…

Soon there will be a third link on the right hand side of the splash page to a “mirrored” website that will be visible on iphones, ipads and mobile devices! Be sure to check that out when you are on the go.
Best, Rachel
P.S. Become a fan (aka “like”) on Facebook and be the first to see what is new at Rachel Olsen Photography!
I constantly think about how lucky I am to be doing something I love as a career.
Part of what makes me so lucky is that I get to interact with the most amazing families and couples…they radiate with love.
Everytime I finish a shoot I truly feel blessed to have been invited to share time with each and every one of them.
This past Friday afternoon was no different. You may recognize this gorgeous family from our earlier indoor shoot. Finally the Colorado afternoon weather cleared and we were able to head outside and get some beautiful shots of this amazing family and gorgeous kiddos (look at their eyes!)!
Thank you for making me feel so lucky to be doing what I do.

(Note the four leaf clover behind Andrea’s ear…obviously lots of luck coming to this amazing family!!)
Thank you again for a great afternoon! Best, Rachel
Little “C” is going to have a lot of keepin’ up to do with his two older siblings!
I had the great joy of photographing this newborn a few days after his arrival into this world. He is well loved by big brother and sis (and Mom and Dad of course!). Thank you for inviting me into your moments and for letting me run around in the backyard with your sweeties.
Enjoy this time with your newest addition. Congrats!!
